And She's Off........

Madyson and some of her classmates are on the Cross Country team at her school. The other day she asked me to come and take some pictures of her, the day I came they were doing relay races. She is so cute and when she was standing in line waiting for her turn she kept busy entertaining her friends.

A Bowling We will Go

Tonight for Family Home Evening we went Bowling. We have not been bowling for years and I don't think Kylah has ever been bowling and that little squirt beat everyone but Logan. She did have a little help from the bumper guards but over all she did great. Logan was awsome, he is left handed but plays all sports right handed and he blew us all away. I think me and Maddy came in last place but we had a really fun time.

Food, Family, Fun and Birthdays

Today we all gathered at my sisters house to celebrate four September Birthday, Melanie's, Logans, Bens (Kimmy's husband) and Cheryls. Ken came and bar-b-qued for us, Lori brought her dad (our dad's brother Uncle Ray) and Melanie brought her girl friend Jennifer who also had a birthday in September. We ate and ate and ate and then had birthday cake and ice cream. Why do we always do that at family gatherings??? Because it is good and comforting. So below are some pictures from tonights dinner. Steph and Brett brought Kyra and McKenna too.

Logan's Birthday

Today is Logan's 17th birthday, Happy Birthday Logan! For his birthday he wanted to go to this Skate park over in Spokane so we brought a bunch of his skating buddies and let them skate all morning. Logan had a wonderful time, he kept thanking me over and over saying it was the best birthday present ever. Plus George and I bought him a new skateboard last night so he was very happy about that. Logan you are awsome. Your family loves you.

Indian Summer

We have been blessed with and Indian Summer which we are so grateful because our summer was way to short, anyways Melanie had a class, George is out of town, so the little girls, Logan and I headed to Kentucky Fried chicken and went to the city park for a picnic and some fun on the playground. Logan went off with friends to the skate park and I was busy taking pictures of the girls.

Mel's Birthday

September 6th was Melanie's 29th birthday, this year she did something that she has not done in many many years, she wanted to go roller skating with her girls and some of her close friends. So we all headed off to Skate Plaza and pratically had the rink to ourselves...there was no one there. The girls were more intrested in playing the arcade games then skating, Madyson won at least 4 more stuffed animals to add to her collection, honestly we do not need another stuffed animal in this house! After skating Melanie went with her adult friends for adult conversation and dinner.

First Day of School

The girls started school on September 2, 2008. Madyson is in the third grade this year and Kylah is in Kindergarten. They were both very excited to go to school and especially Kylah since she is just starting.

Whitney

Whitney is our number five child and the 4th daughter, she will be 19 in October and getting itchy feet to move out. She has been staying at my brothers apartment for the past week because he is out of town and he is always so generous to let anyone stay there so she is enjoying the freedom of having her own little place. She came over for dinner on Sunday and I grabbed her for a little photo shoot... we love this girl so much, she has a great personality, she is fun, caring ,sweet and loves working with children. We miss her while she is gone but she is only a mile and a phone call away!

Hiking Tubbs Hill

Saturday my cousin Lori and her little guy Riley were at our house, they actually came up Friday and spent the night so on Saturday we were thinking what we could do, Madyson and Melanie were doing something together so Lori, Riley, Kylah and I decided to go on a hike up to Tubbs Hill. Tubbs Hill is a very popular spot here in town, it is great for going on hikes, taking walks or jumping off cliffs into the the Lake. It is also a great place to go to take pictures because it is soooo beautiful. It was a beautiful day, perfect for a long hike!!
