I went to the doctor with Whitney the other day to take Fynnlee in for her 7 mo check up, she weighs almost 15 pounds now and is 25" tall. She was such a good girl and then the shots came...oh poor baby.. such a heartbreaking cry! She got lots of hugs and snuggles from mama tho.

A long awaited Homecoming
Since Melanie and Ashley moved back east we only get to see her and the girls maybe 2 times a year now...the girls were able to spend the summer with us which was nice and Maddy is staying with Steph for the school year, so we do get to see her, but we miss the rest of the Bennetts..I was going to fly out and spend Christmas with them but we talked about it and decided that it would be better if she came here since most of the family is around here...so she flew in Christmas nite and we totally suprised Madyson, she thought she was coming the day after Christmas...so we had a fun evening chatting, catching up and opening more presents. We are happy to spend a few weeks with Mel and the girls.
Christmas 2012
We had a fabulous Christmas, Christmas Eve we went over to Kim and Bens for Dinner and then our annual gift exchange. We girls always make homemade gifts for each other, Steph made me some dishtowels and a rice bag, Cheryl made these really cute red and white polka dot pot holders and then she handpainted the cutest little ornaments for everyone in the family. I made canvas pictures for all the kids and quiet books for the babies.. it was fun to see what each of us made. Christmas day we opened gifts, hung around at home and watched movies and then that evening we went to Stephs for dessert and to wait for Melanie, Kylah and Georgia to arrive from SC. Maddy had no idea she was coming Christmas night, she thought she was coming the day after... my pics did not up load so I will have to do a seperate post...anyways it was a fun evening and fun to have all my kids home.

December Catch Up
I posted back in March of 2011 that George and I were asked to attend church in the Plummer Branch for 18 months, we have faithufully been going for 21 months and this morning we recieved our release from our duties in Plummer. Plummer is a little tiny town on the reservation, it has been a small struggling branch and therefor the Stake President has asked several couples to serve there and help build up the branch.. it has been a very rewarding experience, the people there are so sweet and kind and they have loved George and I. While we were serving there the membership grew so much that they are adding on to the current building and now we are meeting in the community center in town. I LOVE this old building, it has so much charm and character to it. We will miss the members in Plummer... I wont miss the 45 minute drive tho! It has been a great 21 months and now we are anxious to be back in our home ward.
This is my friend Robin Lowe...she is amazing, she turns junk into treasures. You would not believe the talent that this lady has. Love her to pieces. |
O.k.. I have been baking like crazy getting ready to bring treats to our friends..made these little goodies and set them on my table to cool and came back about 20 minutes later to find this..... |
Yes...an empty pan.. at first I thought George took them out and put them in a different container..so I asked him and he said No... guess who ATE my GOODIES????? |
