Maddys School concert
This year Madyson is in the 4th grade and she joined the Special Chorus, they met every Tuesday before school started. Their concert this year was centered around music from around the world. They did an amazing job... some of the songs they sang were very difficult. She looked so cute up on stage in her African print robe.
Goodbye Old Friend
A little tribute to a dear old friend.. our piano which we have had for 25 years. George and I bought this piano for $1,500 and paid $50 a month on it forever!! We were young and just starting our family when this piano joined our family. It has brought me such great joy and comfort.. I played it when I was happy, sad, bored, I Played it with children on my lap as we sang Primary songs, I practiced countless hours when I was taking lessons as an adult and preparing for recitals and musical numbers at church. My children carved their names into the wood in various places... it has been moved countless time and has held up so well and always had a beautiful tone. It is now being passed down to Melanie and her family so maybe the girls can take piano lessons and have as much joy from it as we have.
HELLO NEW FRIEND......
George and I were looking around at a Thrift store the other day and someone had just donated this baby grand piano...it was half off day at this particular store so we got this piano for $250.00. It does need to be refinished and not all the keys work so we are going to put some work into and get things fixed, but we could not pass up this beauty and how much more beautiful it will be when it is all done. I have always wanted a baby grand but could never afford the hefty price tag but now we feel very lucky to be in the right place at the right time. Stay tuned for AFTER picture when it is completely refinished and fixed up.

Senior Roast
Tonight one of the girls at church put together a Senior Roast for all the Seniors (from church) that are graduating, She gathered about 20 pictures from each senior and put together a slide show with music, then the parents of each Senior had to stand and talk a little about their son or daughter. It was really fun and all the kids had a really good time.

In Memory of Annabelle Rose Fromm
In October of 2009 we learned that Steph and Brett were going to have a baby... In February of 2010 we learned that the baby had chromosomal disorder and that most likely she would not survive outside the womb. Steph was told that she could miscarry at any time but she didn't.. she carried that sweet little baby for 32 weeks. Annabelle stopped growing at 24 weeks but she was a little fighter. On Thursday April 29th Stephanie could not feel her move anymore so she went to the doctors to check on the baby. Sadly her heart had stopped so her doctor suggested that she be induced Friday night. When Stephanie got to the hospital she saw that one of her very good friends ( her college roommate) was on duty and was to be her nurse the whole time Steph was there. Baby Annabelle was born on Saturday May 1st at 1:06 p.m. She weighed 1 pound 11 ounces and was 13.2 inches long. We had the most positive beautiful experience ever, Steph was treated like royalty and such love and comfort was given to all of us. she had a wonderful doctor who was so dear and sweet to Stephanie and Brett and to our whole family. This experience has brought our family such joy and comfort. We look forward to seeing our grandbaby one day.
