Oh where do I even begin... When George and I were married for about 4 years, we bought a little Baldwin Paino for $1,500, we made $50.00 a month payments on it until it was paid off..for a little struggling family this seemed to take forever!! This little paino has brought so much joy and happiness to our family, it held up well with all of our moves and has a beautiful sound to it. Back in 2010 we had the piano for about 26 years and it was looking haggard..it needed refinishing and I had intentions of doing that, but one day George and I were at St.Vinnies and it just happened to be half off day, we were there looking for something in particular and there in the back sat a baby grand paino for $500.00, it didn't look so great and was in much need of some tender loving care and George asked me if I wanted it, I hesitated but decided that I could make this piano beautiful once again. So we paid $250.00 and during the summer of 2010 I refinished that piano... there is a blog post about it back in May and July of 2010... so in the meantime I gave our little Baldwin to Melanie and her family, then they moved back to SC and she gave the piano to her friend and they kept it for me for a year or two and then they moved to Spokane and she asked me to come and get the piano.. well I had no where to put it since all the rooms in my house were full.... so my good friend from work offered to let me keep it in her garage until I could get it back into my house...well Whitney bought her own house and moved out in April so this gave me a spare room... Logan and I loaded up the piano and brought it back home. For the past month or so I have been busy refinishing this little piano.. the sound is still fabulous and it is back where it belongs... the baby grand sits in the LR... I now have a music room... pics of that to come soon. So that is the story of my two favorite painos.
