Finally Our Christmas Family Dinner

The Heavens smiled upon us for one glorious Sunday afternoon, it stopped snowing and our family was able to get together for our Family Holiday Dinner. We met over at Cheryls house, everyone was there but Ryan, hopefully he will be able to make it up here after New Years. We feel so blessed to have such a loving family and fortunate that most of us live close by and we can get together often. Happy New Year Everyone!

Winter Wonderland

Just a few wintery pictures of our own winter wonderland.
These icecicles are hanging off the side of the building where I work.
I just love how these little drops of snow were lying on this branch.

Snow Snow go AWAY

Oh all this snow has put a damper on my post Christmas spirit. Ten days ago when it started snowing it was beautiful, the first snowfall is always beautiful but it has not stopped snowing in the past 10 days. Today being Saturday, we were supposed to have our big family Christmas dinner, my married girls and their husbands were going to come over, my niece Kristen flew in from Calif today but my brother Ken could not even make it the airport to pick her up, so Kimmy went and picked her up and she is spending the night at Kim's until tomorrow. Our roads are soo bad and we live on a dead end street so the snow plows do not come and plow our road..we are litearlly snowed in! To top that off, all the snow that was pileing up on the roof has fallen and blocked our front and back doors. Logan and George are going to be shoveling all day tomorrow. Below are some pictures from our Very Merry Christmas!

Let it Snow...and Snow...and Snow

It Started snowing yesterday and it snowed all night and all day today. Yes it is beautiful but the whole town shut down today, No School, No mail, and.... NO WORK!!! Yea! Our Ward Christmas party is scheduled for tomorrow ( Friday) Night and I am sure that will be cancelled as well. The kids had a nice start to their Christmas vacation because there will be no school for them until after the New Year. AAHH the joys of living in the Northwest! WE love it!

The sign says it all.

Winter Swimming

O.K. I know it's not officially winter yet but it sure feels like it, so for Family Home Evening My sister and I gathered up Logan, Kylah and Madyson and went to my cousin Lori's apartment over in Spokane. The apartment building that she lives in has this amazing big indoor heated pool and hot tub. The girls love going over there and swimming with Riley. The warm water felt so good..like taking a nice hot bath. Needless to say both girls were alseep by the time we got home.

We Gather Together

We as a family celebrated Thanksgiving on Saturday because the married girls were going to their In-laws and some of my siblings could not be here for actual Thanksgiving day so we all gatherd over at Steph and Bretts house and had a fabulous dinner and took some time to take some family pictures. It was bitter cold outside so we didn't stay long but we did get some cute shots of the family. It was fun to be together and count our blessing. We have so much to be Thankful for. We were especially thankful that our son Ryan could be here with us and my brother Keith and his little family could be here as well. It was a good day. It was also Kylah's 6th birthday but we will post pictures from her birthday next time.

A big Job

Madyson

Wanted to earn some of this

By Raking these

To buy this.

Maddy had her heart set on buying this digital camcorder ( for kids) so Papa told her if she raked all the leaves in the backyard he would buy it for her and by golly she went out there this morning and started raking and it took all day but she got it done ( with a little help from grandma!) So off they went to buy her first camcorder. She has not taken any video yet, waiting for battery to charge up!

Piper likes Fall too

Well we figure Piper should have her picture on the blog too since she is part of the family. How rude that would be of us to leave her out on the family bolg! The girls were our raking leaves the other day and she was just having a ball playing in the piles they were making! Couldn't help taking this cute picture.

Carver pumpkin Farm

Saturday was another gorgeous fall day so Melanie and I took the girls to the pumpkin farm just a few miles out of town. We had a really fun time picking out pumpkins, taking pictures and eating carmel apples. How blessed we are to live in a part of the country that is so abundant in fall colors. Afterwards we drove out to Steph and Bretts and took some fall pictures of them and the girls.
