For Family Night last night we ( us and the Davies) went down to the beach for some yummy S'mores and good friendly chat. The boys did some Skimming, and swimming and then Anthony told us some stories from his mission. It was a fun night.

Summertime

I love Summer, we wait so long for it here in the Northwest but when it comes it is so beautiful. Below are my favorite things about summer.

Skimming

Logan has taken up a new sport, It is called Skimming. He uses a skimming board and basically skims along shallow water. He met this guy name Heath ( in the red shorts) and he has been teaching Logan and his friends to Skim. Saturday they had a Skim fest and Logan got all this free stuff, it really looks like a lot of fun. Click on the picture to see it bigger. Pictures are of Logan, Anthony Thomas and Heath.

Piper is a Mommy

This Morning I was in the bathroom getting ready for my day and I could tell Piper was getting ready to have her babies, She would not leave my side. I took her to the closet in my office and put a towel down for her but she just wanted to be with me. A few minutes later she started screaming and howling and acting crazy and I knew her time had come!! Oh Man..I was freaking out because I could tell she was in so much pain, and then she went to my rug in the kitchen and had her first baby... I got her to clean her up and then took them both into the closet and she has been there ever since. She has 3 new kittens so far, about every 4 hours she has a new baby so I am not sure how many more she has in her belly! She is being a very good mother tho.

Finding Treasures

Saturday Morning I went to help out at the 11 year old Scout Day Camp, but what I spent most of my time doing was taking pictures. The day camp was held out at the this old homestead and there were sooo many neat things to take pictures of, so much history there. The old homestead house is still standing and it is probably over 100 years old, I just had so much fun going around the property finding these awsome little treasures to take pictures of.

Saturday the family gathered at Olive Garden in Spokane to Honor George for Fathers Day. Olive Garden is his favorite restaurant and believe me the food was good! I think George had a good time being with the kids, again we were missing Ryan, Melanie, Maddy and Ky. In August tho... we will all be together in Hawaii!

A Budding Photographer

Last week my old Bishop from our other ward asked me if I would do their family pictures. All three of their daughters were home along with their little grandaughter , so I agreed. This has been good experience for me with posing and lighting and editing.

I Heart My Violin

I do love my violin, it brings me so much comfort and I feel so happy when I am playing it, especially with my girlfriends in our little
string ensemble. I was just doing some different shots of my violin with different settings and lighting. This beautiful little instrument is one of my best friends! I will continue to play it until my fingers cannot do it anymore.

Ben's Graduation

Ben ( Kimmy's husband) Graduated from Eastern WA Universtity today so we all went to graduation and then back their apartment for a bar-b-q and a little swim and some tanning. It was soo hot today so the pool felt great. Ben's family was there and many friends, it was fun and we are proud of you Ben!
