Leavenworth WA

Last Wednesday Steph, Kyra, Makenna,Madyson and I went to Leavenworth for a few beautiful days in the country. Steph's in-laws live there and they have these really fun cabins acorss the street from their house that we were all able to stay in. The girls and I had a blast. They went river rafting, played in the river, ate ice cream, watched movies and ate popcorn, jumped on the trampoline and stayed up late every night. It was a very fun time and we can't wait to go back.

Finally Finished

A few months ago we bought this babygrand piano for $250.00, it was in bad shape and in need of a loving family who would restore and have it make beautiful music once again. So this has been my summer project. It has been frustrating at times, the process ruined my fingers from all the stripping stuff eating thru my gloves.. I have learned that there are alot of different stripping materials out there and only one worked really well. It has all been a very worthwhile project and we could not be more happier with the outcome. It is once again making beautiful music.

The piano the way it was when we bought it.

Our diamond in the rough! It turned out quite pretty

I am LOVING my summer this year...the girls and I do something different every day, Yesterday we went to see Steph in Spokane, had lunch at Riverfront park, fed the geese and the girls played in the fountain. Then Steph took us to a community pool that cost $1 to get in. The girls had a blast..they played all afternoon. It was a wonderful summer day.

Note to self.....

Dont ever take your dog on a run when you are on a bike and he is attached to your wrist with his leash!! Sadly I learned a hard lesson last night when I decided that it was such a beautiful night that Zep and I would go for a ride..me on the bike..he on his four legs. Everything was going great until I was riding in the bike lane on the street and he was next to me on the side walk and all of a sudden he sees something he has to sniff in an empty field..he starts running off and I go flying off my bike and did a nice skid on the cement and dirt. I was not only embarrassed but hurting bad. I also did something to my thumb which is very sore and a bit swollen. From now on I will be walking Zeppelin or riding my bike ALONE!

And he's off....

Logan left for Alaska on Tuesday and will be gone for one month. He went with his best friend and his friends dad. They are driving, and pulling a trailer with all their equipment that they will need for fishing, hiking, camping and just having lots of fun. This trip was part of his graduation present from us. I am sure he will have a blast.

One Great 4th of July Weekend

We had a really fun weekend to celebrate our Country's birthday, Saturday Morning we gathered at the church for our annual 4th of July breakfast, the Activities committee served up some good pancakes and sausage. There was a really good turnout and plenty of food. Today church was great and later in the afternoon we went to my sister's for a bar-b-q. Ken did is magic with a bar-b-q and served up a delicious dinner, once again we had soo much food. After we were done there we headed over to our friends the Davies and had more
bar-b-q. The little dog in the collage is their dog M.J. Later that evening I took the girls downtown to watch some fireworks, as soon as we got home they crashed! It was a beautiful weekend. I am so thankful to live in this beautiful country and for my family!

A day at the Kroc Center

We have had a lot of water activities lately, our latest was a day at the Kroc Center, I brought Madyson, Kylah and Makenzie and they had a blast. They played and swam for 3 hours. It is an amazing place for kids to play all season long, we will for sure be going back there more often.
