A Whole lot of Catching up

I have not blogged for over a month, and now I have a few things to show for my lack of blogging.
Georges' mom passed away about a month ago and the family was holding a Memorial in Ridgecrest the week of Thanksgiving so before we left, our family held an early Thanksgiving over at Melanie and Ashley house. Melanie cooked the turkey and all the girls brought side dishes. It also started snowing that night and hasn't quite stopped since. Soooo below are pictures from Thanksgiving, Kylah's 8th birthday, and our trip to California.

Melanie with her delicious turkey
Ashley can't wait to eat!

My sister made this beautiful Barbie Cake

and these cupcakes
Kylah had a seperate party with her friends from school
and they all dressed up in fancy dresses
On our way back from California we drove home thru Utah and stopped in Cedar City to visit our dear Friends Deniece and Jerry Allred... we have been friends for over 25 years. It was soo good to stop in and have a nice visit with them.
okay...my pictures got out of order... this is obviously a sea lion on a dock off of Point Loma, San Diego... it was Georges mothers wish to have her ashes spread in the Ocean in Point Loma... in order to do this we had to take a boat to get out there... we passed some sea lions that were so cute.
Logan..I would have taken more pictures on the boat but I got soooo sea sick and could not even open my eyes.. the water was rough and I just wanted to get off the boat..so this is all we got!
We held the Memorial in Ridgecrest Calif..the town where I grew up... so while we were there I was able to visit my cousin Debbie ( below) she owns a quilt shop and she is a beautiful quilter.
We stayed with my Uncle Bob who is my dad's brother and his wife Dawn..soo good to see them, it has been aobut 3 or 4 years since we have seen them.
This is Eddie and his wife Kristin..Eddie is Georges' nephew.
Logan and his cousin Danny
On our way down to Calif we stopped at Dave's house ( Georges brother) who lives in June Lake... Logan was helping with all the snow shoveling.
A View from his porch
Logan feeding the ducks... they followed him around just like he was thier mother.
We came home to a beautiful Snowy winter wonderland.
